DEKRA Testing and Certification is your competent partner for all questions concerning the safe functioning and handling of products. As Notified Body No 0158, DEKRA Testing and Certification tests and certifies products according to the ATEX Directive (2014/34/EU), the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) and the Toys Directive (2009/48/EC). 

The experts determine swiftly, thoroughly and objectively whether the products meet the requirements of legal framework, standards and directives which are, for example, necessary to obtain the GS mark. DEKRA also conducts measurements and conformity assessments so that you can quickly market your newly developed technologies.

Our claim: High standards – applied especially to ourselves

Monitoring of our impartiality guarantees our claim. Therefore DEKRA Testing and Certification has established a committee from the circles interested in its work. This committee is constituted of representatives of manufacturers, operators and users, of science and research as well as of the market surveillance. This committee meets at regular intervals and discusses al open issues concerning the impartiality and quality of DEKRA Testing and Certification.

DEKRA Testing and Certification is mainly financed by its testing and certification activities.

Complaints management

Complaints about a product certified by us

You want to complain about a product that has been certified by us? Then contact us by writing an e-mail to this address: products.de@dekra.com .
Once we have received your e-mail, we will then consult our records and pass your complaint on to the manufacturer. Of course, this will be handled anonymously. After the company has responded, we will inform you writing on the further development regarding your complaint.

The same applies to certifications in the IECEx Scheme. If you consider that an ExTR or QAR issued by us is incorrect or issued by mistake please inform us as soon as possible. Upon your notice we will review the case immediately. If we achieve a different result than you within the review process but another ExCB agrees with your opinion you can submit the case to the IECEx Appeals Committee (www.iecex.com) for decision.

Quality management

DEKRA EXAM maintains a quality management system for both the Certification Body and the Inspection Agency, as well as for the test laboratories to ensure the quality of their services considering to the standards DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020, DIN EN ISO/IEC 17021, DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065.

Accreditation

DEKRA Testing and Certification operates numerous DAkkS-accredited test laboratories as well as a certification body with 12 departments under the code number 0158 from the European NANDO database for notified bodies (European Commission). DEKRA Testing and Certification is GS-body according to product safety law. In addition, DEKRA Testing and Certification operates two test laboratories (CBTL) in the international IECEE system and is an approved monitoring body in accordance with the Equipment and Product Safety Act. Furthermore, DEKRA is testing and certification CB and TL in the IECEx scheme.
