Escape respirators are used as self-rescuers or for quick and safe evacuation of people to non-hazardous areas.
We test and certify:
- Self-contained closed-circuit breathing apparatus for escape considering to EN 13794
- Filtering devices with hood for escape from fire considering to EN 403
- Filter self-rescuer from carbon monoxide with mouthpiece assembly considering to EN 404
- Chemical oxygen escape apparatus (KO2) considering to EN 401
- Self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus incorporating a hood for escape considering to DIN 58639 and EN 1146
- Compressed-air escape breathing apparatus considering to EN 14529 and EN 402
- Self-contained closed-circuit breathing apparatus for escape considering to EN 13794
We also inspect whether escape respirators comply with the following:
- ASG Recommendations (recommendations of respirators to be used in mining)
